Parental Responsibilities

The ultimate responsibility of a parent, as well as the club, is to insure the player's enjoyment and success during their time with the team. Parents should demonstrate a strong team unity and participate in all team decisions. The Team selects the Team Manager. Parents may replace these positions during the course of the season if needed. Parents are to be responsible for the care of the facilities and the fields by making sure they collect all their belongings and trash when they are leaving the facilities. Parents are responsible to have their player at all practices and games on time and to be in good financial standing with the team, coach and club at all times. Parents should be good supporters of their player, team and club; CCSC by not sharing their opinion or issues in front of other teams, both within CCSC and outside clubs. Any Coaching concerns must be brought to the attention of the Club President. Parents, Team Managers or Asst. Coaches may not address a Coach regarding dissatisfaction with playing time, practices or game situations.

Parental Code of Ethics

·I will demand that my athlete treat other players, coaches, officials and spectators with respect regardless of race, creed, color, gender and ability
·I will treat all players, coaches and officials with dignity and respect with regards to language, attitude, behavior and mannerisms
·I will encourage good sportsmanship through my actions, by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches and officials at every game or practice
·I will promote the athletes emotional and physical well being ahead of my personal desire to win --- the game is for the athletes and NOT the parents
·I will support the coaches and officials to provide a positive atmosphere/experience
·I will demand a drug/alcohol/tobacco-free environment and will assist by refraining from their use while at CCSC events
·I will respect the property and equipment used at the facility
·I will inform the coach of any physical disability or ailment that may affect the safety of my athlete
·I will inform the coach, with a reasonable amount of time, of any absence from a game or practice my athlete might incur due to illness, planned vacation or other reason.
·If I have issue with my coach I will address my concerns directly with a board member of CCSC at an appropriate time.
·If I have issue with another parent, a referee or another coach I will direct my concerns to my coach or a CCSC board member at an appropriate time (ie: not during "play" - either before or after a game or during half time).
